for Traveling Families

When your are planning a Colorado travel adventure with the kids, you’ll find great sightseeing, attractions, and activities in the towns and cities all over the state.

The biggest metropolitan areas in Colorado lie along the Front Range. These cities include Denver, Colorado Springs, Boulder, Pueblo, and Fort Collins.

The western third of the state is home to Grand Junction and Durango, Colorado.

If you are traveling with your kids on the eastern prairies of Colorado, stop for a break in Sterling on the Platte River or La Junta on the Arkansas River. You’ll get a small-town welcome and both educational and entertaining attractions.

Some of Colorado’s most visited cities are really small towns in the central mountains. Famous ski towns and resorts like Aspen, Steamboat Springs, Beaver Creek Village, and Vail come to mind. But local favorites like Glenwood Springs and Leadville also offer traveling families plenty of fun with more down-to-earth prices for lodging, restaurants, and activities.
